Things To Do Before Moving from 2017 into 2018

For those who journeyed through a difficult 2017, the possibility of a new slate is a welcomed outlook. For others, the year was filled with fond memories and hold the hope for continued blessing.

The end of a year has this unique and beautiful optimism that only a closed chapter can bring. We often reflect on the good and the bad, and look to the future with hopefulness. As you take in this time and embrace reflection, how can you make the most of this gift? What should you be doing to close 2017 and take on 2018?

Here are things you can do as you step out of this year and into a new year;

Write down what you learned in 2017 You would be remiss to exit the year without reflecting on what you learned. What did God teach you and show you about life, ministry, calling, and Himself? What lessons do you never want to forget?

Take some time to think through all the lessons you acquired throughout the year. Maybe you learned something about yourself the hard way through a difficult trial. Perhaps truths were made aware of to you in Scripture. Consider all the ways God spoke to you and gather those lessons into one place so that you never forget.

Account for your 2017 blessingsNo matter how hard your year was, surely God moved in beautiful and gracious ways. Every good gift--everything good thing you have--was given to you by God (James 1:7). Which means He deserves all the praise!

It is my pleasure and privilege to express the warm felicitations of the Government and people of Nigeria to you all on this occasion of the Tenth Conference of Ministers and the Tenth Anniversary of the Fisheries Committee for the West Central Gulf of Guinea (FCWC). Please accept also, our congratulations on the occasion of your tenth anniversary.

Let me also extend the gratitude of the Government and people of Nigeria, to the FCWC for giving us the opportunity to host this anniversary, I’m told this is the second time Nigeria is hosting this yearly meeting and I hope we will be given the chance to host it frequently.

It is important to remind ourselves of the objectives of this regional body, which includes the strengthening of sub-regional cooperation in fisheries management, monitoring, surveillance and enforcement operations; and the development of the capacity of small-scale fishing operators in member countries, to create sustainable livelihoods.

Why Many "Uneducated" People Are More Successful In Business

You will be amazed at the number of Uneducated successful business men and women compared to the huge number of educated men and women who are struggling to build a little business like selling doughnuts or cake or event decoration.

Not everyone was or will be privileged to go through the four walls of a university but whether you are educated or not is not a guarantee that you will succeed in business...

I know some people will say that education isn't all about going to the University, polytechnic or college of education, yes, but there are so many people who can't read or write properly but are doing well in business. Now, let me share with you just five reasons why most Uneducated business men and women are more successful than their educated counterparts.

They Strive More To Be Relevant It's a well known fact that we live in a society where people believe that if you don't go to school you are are loser. As such, those not privileged to go to school who have ended up in business are striving more to succeed. The truth is, most educated people are too relaxed. They always feel that things should work for them easily because they have a first degree, master degree or a doctorate or PhD. While their Uneducated Counterparts are putting in more efforts in making sure that the society doesn't mock them, they are busy waiting for things to happen on their own terms.

FG Orders Arrest of Marketers Who Hoard Petrol

The Federal Government has ordered security agencies to arrest petroleum marketers who purposely hoard products to create the artificial scarcity currently being experienced in parts of Nigeria.

This is even as oil marketers have been warned to desist from hoarding the product or risk being arrested by industry regulators who have been detailed for enforcement.

The order was disclosed by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) in a statemnet issued on Monday in Abuja.

NNPC spokesman, Ndu Ughamadu, who signed the statement said that the warning followed the uncovering of 144 oil tankers filled with petroleum products in Kano.
